Deployment day. Five dollars, four venues, equal split. The straightforward read first: Morpho's Gauntlet USDC Prime quotes 4.32%, Aave v3 quotes 3.03%, and both pay the same way, a smooth drip into the balance that compounds quietly and is never once felt.

Ample quotes 3.85% and pays nothing like them. The yield from every depositor pools up and goes out as weekly prize draws, while principal sits at a pinned 1:1 share price with the same ERC-4626 exit as Morpho: one withdraw call, no lockup. Against Morpho, holding Ample costs 0.47% a year in expected value. What that buys is a weekly claim on the whole pool's yield instead of my own trickle.

I hold it because that trade has receipts. Premium Bonds keep over a hundred billion pounds of British savings at rates no bank could sell as plain interest, and Save to Win credit unions pulled deposits from people who had never saved at all. On $5,000 the gap to Morpho is about two dollars a month. The gap between feeling nothing and holding a live ticket is the whole product.

What I am watching: whether Ample's realized returns converge on its quoted rate over enough weeks, whether Morpho's spread holds, and how the realized numbers stack week by week. Positions move only when the numbers argue for it.
